It was reported on 12th April 2014 that around a number of burglaries have taken place in the last few weeks in the area of Ferrerias near Albufeira.
In the latest of these a property was broken into a short while after the owner had left the property and stole gold watches, some cash, a computer monitor and a camera. The owner in an interview with local media stated that he felt that the property was being watched beforehand so the culprit knew when the house was unoccupied.
The GNR are investigating around 5 other similar cases in the area with an apparent similar modus operandi.
