Decree no. 3-F / 2021 of February 26
Summary: Regulates the state of emergency decreed by the President of the Republic.
Taking into account the epidemiological situation in Portugal, the Decree of the President of the Republic no. 21-A / 2021 , of 25 February, extended the state of emergency for an additional period of 15 days. Under the terms of the law, it is up to the Government to regulate that Decree of the President of the Republic, which keeps the rules in force in the previous period unchanged. However, despite the evolution of the epidemiological situation translating a positive effect of the measures that have been taken and there is a reduction in new daily cases of the disease COVID-19, a reduction in the rate of transmission of the virus and hospitalizations, the incidence the average remains too high, as well as the number of hospitalizations, namely in intensive care units, and deaths.
For these reasons, it is not appropriate to reduce or suspend the measures in force, this decree will renew, without any changes, for a period of 15 days, the rules in force in the fortnight preceding the date of its entry into force, contained in the Decree no. 3-A / 2021 , of 14 January, in its current wording, and Decree no. 3-D / 2021 , of 29 January, in its current wording.
So:
Under the terms of paragraph g) of article 199 of the Constitution, the Government decrees:
Article 1
Object
This decree regulates the extension of the state of emergency effected by the Decree of the President of the Republic no. 21-A / 2021 , of 25 February.
Article 2
Extension of Decree no. 3-A / 2021 , of January 14
Decree No. 3-A / 2021 , of January 14, in its current wording, is extended until 23:59 on March 16, 2021.
Article 3
Extension of Decree No. 3-D / 2021 , of 29 January
Decree No. 3-D / 2021 , of 29 January, in its current wording, is extended until 23:59 h on 16 March 2021.
Article 4
Implementation
This decree comes into force at 00:00 (in effect 00.01hrs) on March 2, 2021.
