Article 183 of Law 23/2007 of 4 July – Immigration Law

1 – Those whom promote or facilitate in any manner the entry or transit of illegal alien in national territory shall be punished with imprisonment up to three years.

2 – Those who promote or facilitate in any way, the entry, stay or transit of illegal alien in national territory, for profit, shall be punished with imprisonment from one to four years.

3 – If the acts are committed by transport or maintenance of foreign citizens in inhumane conditions or degrading treatment or endangering your life or causing him serious harm to body or death, the agent is punished with imprisonment from two to eight years.

4 – An attempt is punishable.

5 – The penalties applicable to entities referred to in paragraph 1 of Article 182. shall be as fine, whose minimum and maximum limits shall be doubled, or prohibiting the exercise of one to five years.
