Article 278. Penal Code
1 – Who, not observing legal, regulatory or mandatory provisions imposed by the competent authority in accordance with those provisions:
a) eliminate fauna or flora specimens in significant numbers or protected or endangered species;
b) destroy natural habitat or protected natural habitat causing this loss in wild species of fauna or flora legally protected or in significant numbers;
c) Allocate seriously subsoil resources;
It is punished with imprisonment up to three years or a fine not exceeding six hundred days.
2 – Who sell or holds for wildlife exemplary marketing or protected species of flora, dead or alive, as well as any part or product obtained from the former, he is punished with imprisonment up to six months or with a fine not exceeding one hundred and twenty days.
